How personal data is processed on manecars.es.

Data we process

Identity and contact data, customer account, driving licence and ID, booking, vehicle, billing, communications and incident data. We do not store the full card number or CVV; payment takes place on the payment provider’s secure page.

Purposes and lawful bases

We process data to manage accounts, bookings, contracts, handover and return, payments, deposits, invoicing and support, to perform a contract or take pre-contractual steps. Tax, accounting and fraud-prevention processing is based on legal obligations and legitimate interests. Marketing and optional cookies require consent.

Recipients

Necessary hosting, support, communications and accounting providers may have access. When a payment method is selected, Redsys/the acquiring bank or PayPal processes the operation under its own terms. Full card data does not pass through our server. Data is disclosed to authorities only where legally required.

Retention

Accounting records and supporting documents are retained for six years under Article 30 of the Spanish Commercial Code; tax obligations may be reviewed for at least four years. Identity and driving documents are retained only as needed for the rental, incidents and claims, then blocked or deleted. Cookie choices are retained for up to one year.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw consent, using the contact email. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

Security

We use access controls, protected sessions, HTTPS encryption in production, encrypted restricted document storage and minimised payment logs. No system is infallible; safeguards are reviewed according to risk.
